Steve has almost 30 years’ experience providing assurance services to a significant number of organisations for major national companies to all sizes of Commonwealth and State government agencies.  Steve has performed and been responsible for many performance and compliance internal audits, IT audits, maturity assessments and other consultancy assignments. Steve has a tremendous history of client loyalty and takes great pride in his client-centric approach.

• Large government agency – programme and project assurance and internal audit: Steve has delivered a range of internal audit and assurance services, including ‘inflight’ programme and IT project assurance reviews, pre-implementation reviews of a records management system, third-party services for the department, financial controls, and reviews of grant programmes.
• Large government agency - Internal audit, IT audit, 'Live' assurance, and project assurance: Recent projects include various maturity assessments, risk snapshots across many programmes, review of data governance and data release frameworks, transformation IT Projects governance reviews and ‘live assurance’ internal audit services assisting the department during the rapid implementation of Australian Government COVID-19 Health policy, measures, and critical functions.
• Large government agency: Steve led the delivery of the claim assessment services for the payment of election funding. The task involved the application of assessment processes, evidence, and criteria, which generated recommendations about the acceptance or refusal of claims.
• Large government agency - Controls assurance: Steve led the team to deliver payment integrity assurance for the ECE Programme in the build phase and has provided Steve with solid background knowledge on the proposed delivery of the ECE Programme.
• Large government agency - Internal audit: Steve is the engagement managing director co-lead for all internal audit work, including all assurance work undertaken in the COVID-19 environment. Steve was responsible for key assurance projects, including reviews of the entire organisation's operational, financial, ICT, cyber and programme areas.
• Large government agency – Internal audit: Steve has led the delivery of work by Protiviti. This included delivering co-sourced internal audit service provisions from October 2008 to the present. Steve is the Lead Partner of this service and was involved in various audit projects assigned from the audit work programme.
