Life At Protiviti

Delivering Through Outside the Box Thinking

Bart Bradley

Managing Director, Ohio

Bart Bradley joined Protiviti in April 2021. He was recruited for a very specific task – to build Protiviti’s first onshore delivery center, the Americas Delivery Center (ADC) in Ohio – from scratch. Bart has over a decade’s experience specifically in building, growing, fixing, running and leading similar facilities for a professional service firm in the U.S. and internationally, so he was more than ready to help Protiviti deliver.

"Bart’s outside the box thinking has proven instrumental in fueling the growth and capabilities of the ADC."

Thinking Outside the Box

Since opening their doors, the ADC has undergone tremendous growth. Along the way Bart emphasised the applicants most likely to succeed would be those with transferable skills and the right aptitude and attitude.

“Most of our new hires don’t necessarily need directly relevant experience,” he says. “They need to be confident, yet humble, open to feedback and willing to do additional training. We can teach them most of what they need to know to deliver the work.”

Bart’s outside the box thinking has proven instrumental in fueling the growth and capabilities of the ADC.

Delivering on Our Value of Innovation

In their first full year, the ADC hired nearly 200 people. With such exponential growth, Bart needed to pivot focus to the infrastructure and operational foundation of the center.

Bart applied Agile methodology, a common way of thinking at Protiviti. With his leadership, the ADC has established processes and infrastructure that have enabled top quality client service including:

  • Creating a series of operating FAQs that align and document the ADC’s operating practices and drove consistency across messaging and expectations.
  • Building close relationships with their engagement-team clients that allow them to continually receive, process and adjust based on their feedback.
  • Partnering with the Learning & Development team and other ADC leaders to launch a leadership training series for the ADC Pod and Competency Leads and The ADC Challenge for ADC Analysts and Senior Analysts.
  • Redesigning the onboarding process for new hires to the ADC to provide additional training that is tailored to what they need to succeed in their delivery-focused roles.

As a result, the ADC is consistently delivering quality.  But don’t take Bart’s work for it, 100% of the engagement teams who responded to the most recent engagement team survey (May 2024) are satisfied working with the ADC.

Working Together

Looking back, Bart is grateful for the opportunity to bring to life Protiviti’s vision for the ADC.

“When I started, we didn’t know exactly what the center would look like, but we worked together to develop that vision and strategy, leadership has guided the ADC ship from the very beginning and trusted me to make it happen, and it has been a huge success so far.  Protiviti’s mission is ‘We Care. We Collaborate. We Deliver.’ And at the ADC we deliver operational excellence at scale.”

By thinking outside the box and delivering innovative, efficient, and effective business solutions, Bart’s story is a shining example of Life At Protiviti.
