Niels Willeboordse

Niels is a director within the technology consulting team of Protiviti with more than 15 years of experience in IT audit and IT risk advisory. Niels is specialised in SAP (ECC, S/4HANA) implementation related projects, specifically:

• SAP authorizations implementations
• SAP Automated Controls implementations and testing
• SAP data analytics and reporting
• SAP and RPA solutions
• Risk management within SAP implementation projects, and
• Making the SAP systems “audit ready”.

Next to that Niels is an experienced Audit Director (IT, and Operational Auditing), and as an IT advisor he developed his skills in:

• IT Risk & Compliance
• Identity & Access Management
• Internal Control implementation
• Rationalisation projects

After leaving the Royal Dutch Marines, and working for a global chemical trading company as Supply Chain Officer and purchaser of logistic services, Niels started his career in the IT Audit business at PwC. After PwC he started as an IT Risk Advisor for Protiviti for almost 7 years. After a brief journey where he worked for AkzoNobel Internal Audit and Deloitte Risk Advisory, he returned to Protiviti in 2018 as Associate Director.

Niels has a broad portfolio of clients and in different industries. He serves large corporate clients as well as mid-market clients and semi-governmental organisations.
