After graduating with a degree in neuroscience and criminal justice, Lindsey was engaged as a contractor to work on an anti-money laundering (AML) project for one of Protiviti’s major banking clients. In October 2022, she became a full-time employee, now based in Protiviti’s Cincinnati, Ohio office.

Building Skills and Broadening Scope

Lindsey is dedicated to growing her knowledge and skillset by working on a range of client projects. To help make this happen, she has started actively networking within the firm, and is working towards additional certification to make herself more valuable to project teams and her clients.

Embracing Diverse Learning Opportunities

Lindsey recently attended The Consulting Challenge, where she was able to practice client interviews and workstreams. She has also started working with her Protiviti career advisor to find ways to move outside her specialist field of financial crimes compliance, so that she can gain more diverse project experience. Adding to her learning accomplishments, Lindsey recently completed her SCRUM Master certification.

Championing Diversity Within the Firm

Lindsey takes pride in being part of Protiviti's vibrant culture of diversity. As co-lead of ProPride group in Columbus office and one of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Champions, she plays an active role in fostering an inclusive environment. She is also part of ENGs dedicated to women and multicultural communities - initiatives that have connected her with informal mentors across the organisation.

Most of all, she’s grateful for her Protiviti co-workers. “Everyone has taken me under their wing and supported me, and everyone’s support is genuine,” she says. “I’ve never felt that way in a company before. I’ve been working since I was 16 at maybe ten different companies and this is the first one where I feel appreciated.”
