Protiviti partnered with a leading telecommunications company in KSA to automate its finance accruals process using Microsoft Power Platforms. This initiative aimed to streamline a cumbersome process that previously took 22 days each month, significantly reducing turnaround time and increasing accuracy.

The project involved developing customized application facilitating collaboration across 13 departments which not only minimized manual Excel tasks but also enhanced employee engagement by allowing users to contribute directly through an intuitive interface.

Organizations experiencing rapid growth often find challenges in scaling their operations at a pace that meets their expanding business requirements. For a chemical manufacturing company in the UAE, the task was further accentuated during the pandemic as many of its processes were being managed manually. As a result, immediate action was needed to automate their processes across functions such as displaying KPIs, gaining sales visibility, and finalizing business deals.

Protiviti got engaged in establishing a digitized business process that became an enabler for the organization’s rapid growth.

In 2018, one of the largest banks in the Middle East started its automation journey to enhance the automation of banking processes. An automation partner was engaged for one of the critical processes that involved regulatory reporting. On the back of the success of this first initiative, the bank invested over 6 million dollars in building up its RPA program. The result was the deployment of over 300 bots in the production environment utilized across all three main business areas of the bank - wholesale, retail, and control.

Protiviti was assigned to assess their investment and audit of RPA infrastructure comprising software configuration, licenses, code reviews, etc.

Protiviti, in collaboration with the client team, conducted a series of workshops aimed at pinpointing suitable automation candidates through a range of discovery exercises. The team adopted a comprehensive strategy to discover, automate, and optimize workflows suitable for automation. They integrated the core system to facilitate seamless data exchange and data retrieval, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications.
